- waaaaahh! i'm in BANGKOK right now. i know the sotd is slightly lame, but hey it's the best i can do for blogging from thailand. anywho, for all of you who thought i wouldn't blog. . .HA! take that:
- okay, so i left friday morning around 2 from lax and embarked on a friggin 14 hour VOYAGE to taiwan. along the way, i ended up watching three movies: XXX (again! "the things i'm gonna do for my country", eh si hyun?), spykids 2 (again! wait - why did see this again, si hyun? and for those of you who haven't noticed, si hyun and i watch a lot of movies together), and lilo and stitch (again!). okay, so nothing TOO new - but on the very last one i actually cried when i saw it this time. don't ask me why - well, actually, i know why. i was in a rather depressed mood (no real reason, just feeling a little nostalgic) when i got to the part where the sister is about to lose everything and she tries so hard and. . .yeah. incidentally, it's my humble opinion that the movie just crashes from there, with high-flying space aliens and big guys in sunglasses named mr.bubbles. =D
- enough of disney. =.= anyways, in taiwan there was a relatively short stopover, so there wasn't much time to do anything. . .except i had about 10 free minutes and i was standing next to a local telephone: BUT I DIDN'T HAVE EMMO'S NUMBER!!! noooooo!!! seriously though, that would have been cool, calling emily in taiwan from. . .taiwan. another flight followed, this one a not-as-long-but-still-agonizingly-boring journey to bangkok. here, the movie they showed was actually very good:

- anyone ever heard of that one? >_o it's done memento-style, with the main character narrating to tim allen's character in reverse sequence about this whole long story about two robbers. it's magnificently done, imho, and if you've ever seen memento or leon, you really have to see this movie. ^_^
- after a lovely morning of shopping in bangkok and finally absolutely nothing (no worries, folks, this was the clothing leg of the trip meant for my mom to get last-second gifts for my indian kin; the return trip entails electronics, jerseys, and the like xP), i ran over the internet terminal. . .it's not too expensive: 120 baht (that's 3 dollars) for 300 minutes (5 hours). $0.60 an hour floats my boat. =P
one sucky thing: my flight got delayed FOUR HOURS!!! >P
- grrness. not out of my own selfishness, actually, but because our family in calcutta (kolkata? i suppose i should ditch the "british" spelling) didn't know the flight was late and is in the airport in kolkata as i speak, expecting us. . .T_T;;; as for myself, i still have another hour or so before we even start heading to the terminal. *bleah* i've just wrote out a few e-mails tho, so i've contsructively used my time. =D
- anywho, just wanted to let you all know that i refuse to blog when i'm IN the u.s., but i'll struggle to blog the second i leave the country. . .O_o;;; have a great winter break and christmas, everyone, and i'll catch you on new year's eve!! leave a message if thou please(st). xP

i've been thinking maybe,

- believe it or not, i blogged tonight. that's right: i actually blogged. so what's gotten into me these past few days? no blog on monday OR tuesday. . .i've just been insanely busy. monday night was stanford app AND usaco competition. . .tuesday i just needed to sleep early. as for tonight, a pretty busy night too, but i promised myself i'd blog.
- anyways, went to english in the morning and found out i managed to get a 10 on my practice MC test, which does wonders for my grade. O_o then during office hours, i had to run to mrs. king's room and grab a teacher rec (i wrote it myself - what an awkward situation. . .), and then i couldn't find anyone else (hint hint) for the rest of the time, so at snack i just ran home and grabbed something to eat.
- then to spanish, where we were watching a rather boring movie, so i just chatted with shyla the whole time. but not just regular chatting - no, that would have been too conscipicuous. rather, we passed notes: well, more like my old spanish homework assignments. and what a fun conversation we had! i teased her quite a bit over something i know and she doesn't (a rarity, considering her intelligence). during lunch, i ran to take THREE club photos - with science club, comp sci club, and csf.
and then jeNn randomly showed up!
- somehow then, i managed to find myself juggling conversations with jean, kaidi, david porter, harry, rui, jay, anya, jeNn, daniel, kim and kunal. how did i manage that?! and and jean and kaidi got me christmas gifts!! how sweet. my mun peepz are too nice to me. . .in fact:
kaidi got me a rubik's cube!!! whee!!!
- those things are SOOO addictive. but no time for that - physics test!!! aaargh - actually it turned out to be not bad at all, and i felt really confident about it (checked my grade later tonight, only missed 1! yay ^^;;;;;;;;). plus, tiff got me a gift too - told you she was the sweetest. anyways, after school i basically cruised around with anya getting a wedding card for ms. gilkey, and then when i got home i worked on mun resolutions and chatted my night away. and such was my day. i'll try to post a more interesting blog tomorrow. . .=.=;;;
